Customers praised the high-quality leather with "nice depth" and character. The Goodyear welt construction provides durability and a sturdy feel. While heavier than typical dress shoes, they're comfortable for full workdays after breaking in. The plain-toe design is versatile, pairing well with denim and trousers.

The shell cordovan looks even better in natural light and has a lot of character up close. The thicker outsole makes the shoe feel more rugged than a typical dress shoe. They’re not lightweight, but once I got used to the weight, they were comfortable enough for a full workday.

What I like most is how simple and solid these feel. There aren’t a lot of unnecessary details, so the leather really stands out. They needed a few wears to break in around the heel, which was about what I expected.

The camel leather laces are a nice touch against the black upper. They add just enough contrast without making the shoes look flashy. The leather around the forefoot was a little stiff at first, but it has started to soften with wear.

I’ve worn these with dark denim and charcoal trousers and they work well with both. The black cordovan looks polished without being overly shiny. The heel took me a little time to get used to, but walking in them feels stable.

These feel very substantial when you pick them up and even more so on foot. The sole feels supportive and the Goodyear welt construction gives the whole shoe a sturdy feel. They’re definitely on the heavier side, but I don’t mind that for this type of shoe.

The leather has a really nice depth that you don’t get with regular black dress shoes. I especially like how clean the plain-toe design looks. They felt pretty firm the first few times I wore them, but they’re gradually becoming more comfortable.
